It's not compulsory but since it's twin sharing, if you are bringing anyone along, you still pay for their part, so it's better to get someone along

Not mandatory, no. But it makes sense to take someone along as you would be paying for the 2nd

Ya it is compulsory... and it sucks. there are only few packages and all are twin sharing
