Hi, yes actually it is a good time. Also, please visit Coonoor, it is around 20 km away from Ooty and it is really a beautiful place with lush green tea gardens. Some popular things to be bought from Ooty are home-made chocolates and flavoured tea. Things to do are like capturing views through Binoculars from Doddebetta peak, boating in lake and a ride in train.

Known as the Queen of hill stations, Ooty is extremely popular in south India and provides a welcome respite from the summer heat. While Ooty is really an all-year destination, the best time to visit Ooty is during the months of March to June. This is when the average temperture here is under 20 degree C making it ideal for sight-seeing and leisurely walks. You can enjoy the magnificent views as well as the romantic ambiance of this wonderful hill station during these months. Coorg bears a tropical weather making it an ideal holiday destination, throughout the year the climate remains pleasant to visit. However, the best time to visit is from the month of October to May.
