By yourself, through packages you don't really get to experience the place you will be travelling like a tourist and according to me that's the worst thing to do. Just read some blogs and plan the trip yourself.

Plan it urself ... u can select homestays through Airbnb ..if u want to enjoy the views ..else you can book a nice hotel room and a cab for sightseeing...major attractions dese day are crowded...so to avoid the crowd...visit all the places in morning ...n on the way to ur sightseeing...u will get some nice views of beas water streams...where people never wish to go...those are the small treasures of Manali you can enjoy..take some beautiful pictures and selfies on those landscapes ..Panoramic views are the best...

If you are good in searching cheap and best flights/cabs/activities/hotels etc than it is best if you are lazy and having luuxirious budget go for package.

Hi it is good if you travel without any package and it would be cheaper to you. you can do research on google regarding this. it is good if you can hire a cab (if you drive by yourself then it would be a plus plus point for you). after reaching manali, you can ask to multiple hotels and their rates. moreover you can visit rohtang manali pass too.

Don't go with package !! go yourself..book your hotels via Make My Trip.. location should be kanhayal road.. don't book your room near mall road..

Travel self is best and economical option for Manali. You can get discounted hotel deals easily, prebooking will charge you more. Traveling in Manali is most likely traveling through traffic. New Manali is crowded at mall road, Old Manali you can witness cafes n live music. Rohtang pass and solang valley are most attractive tourist destinations from Manali but both the places are pretty much messed with traffic.
