Dear fellow traveler, the valley of flowers is a monsoon trek. The Valley of Flowers is only open from the beginning of June until the beginning of October, as it's covered in snow the rest of the year. The best time to visit is from mid July to mid August, when the flowers are in full bloom after the first monsoon rain. But I advise you to check weather forecast and route properly. Before making your plan.

I think you should avoid going there in August.

The valley opens in June every year and closes in October. The best opportunity to visit the Valley of Blossoms is between July to September when you can see the valley at this sprout with blossoms. August is the best opportunity to see the blossoms sprout; be that as it may, it could get hard to arrive at there because of avalanches and heavy rainfall. It stays open until the end of the year due to weighty snow. Remember that access to the Valley is limited to daytime - you can enter the Valley just between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and you should leave before 5:00 PM. Short-term camping is precluded.
