IMO a trip to Pondicherry should be planned after mid-October. Currently the monsoon and the erratic rains might play a spoil sport. Paradise beach is a must visit destination in Pondy and you won't be able to enjoy there with the rain. You can check the weather and consult with the hotel you are staying before you leave. Also, AirBnB is a better option than hotels in Pondy. I'll be sharing my experience soon. Do follow me to stay updated for the same.

Hi Sanjay, Although Pondicherry has a warm climate, October to March can be considered as an ideal time to visit is July to September: These months constitute the monsoon season in Pondicherry. The town receives heavy to light rainfall every year. I hope this helps. Thanks!

Pondicherry is best visited during the months of October to March as the temperature usually ranges between 15 - 30 degree celcius. Over the years, Pondicherry has truly been the gem of South India and an ideal vacation spot. Summers (April-June) are quite hot and the temperature touches 40 degree Celsius occasionally.
