Hey Anunjay, Yes, you can get snowfall in Kasol depending on your luck but you will surely get snowfall on Kheerganga trek. Can't say about the snowfall, but it'll be a hell of a journey to kasol in January. With super cold weather, the place has it's own charm at this season. Nights can be tough to pass so pack some extra thermals and jackets. Gloves and Caps are must. And as of the present weather in Himachal, I guess snowfall will be there till first or second week of January.Happy Traveling.

Firstly, it will be deserted. You can go if you want to see the beauty wrapped in snow but not many shops and people.
During January, the temperature is lowest and thus the Kasolians (Israelis and French) fly to other parts like Goa and Varanasi and will return from March onwards.
But Yeah you will get some really cheap tour packages for Kasol in January because tourist attraction is quite less these days.

Good chances of snowfall but one can't be sure. But you can definitely see snow around. For more clarity please check weather forecast once.

Can't predict the snowfall in Kasol. It might get snow if you are lucky. But January is really a good time to visit Kasol as you can enjoy the scenic foggy views.

Winter in kasol (October to February):
Owing to the extremely chilly weather, Winter is least recommend for a trip to Kasol. Most roads leading to Kasol are blocked and the temperatures at this time of the year are freezing cold. Also, many of the places in Kasol are inaccessible during these winter months. It is the best season to visit Kasol as the weather in October and November is pleasant and not too cold. Tourists can enjoy village walks and spend time with their group in riverside cafes. Kasol weather in January, especially during snowfall in Kasol, dips below zero. Since the temperature in winters falls below 0 Degree Celsius, some good heavy woolens are recommended as the nights get colder and can go below -4 Degrees Celsius during this time. Moreover, there are times of continuous snowfall in some parts of the district.
