Jan is good for an offbeat trip, if your are ok with travel difficulties and -20 degrees weather. There are nice frozen river treks and white vistas.

Hey Akash, Absolutely if you are a snow lover ... Roads will all be closed to leh ... so you need to take a flight from delhi to leh ... There you can hire a bike or a car and Roam around .. Happy Travelling Bro!!!

Welcome Bro ...
Hello, Offcourse a good time. But not for a road trip as the roads would be blocked by snow. You may need to check out with travel agency for flight operations. Enjoy travelling!!!

There is no bad time to visit leh, it's just that some places are closed due to high snowfall.

No. Visting Leh in January means an offbeat trip. The weather will be very low. The roads full of snow. There will be no facilities. It will be an adventure.

If you really want to enjoy Leh, I would not recommend visiting it in January. However, if you are extremely adventurous then you can consider visiting it now.

You will find snow but the temp will be very low. So plan accordingly

If you can survive -20 degree and can ride bike in super chilly weather, you can go there in January. Leh Ladakh has it's own beauty in January, it'll be like visiting white valley.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Yes but it might be extremely cold

I believe leh is all about beautiful landscapes and during winters all will be covered in snow ...so I would suggest plan during summers to get the perfect view.

Hey Akash, You can visit Leh via road only from June to October as in rest of the months road get blocked due to snowfall so only option is via air. Ladakh trip cost : 1) Via Road in June to October ( only time when roads remain open ) a)Bike on Rent from Delhi : It will cost you total 20k per person if you go with your friend on single bike. b) Sharing Jeep from Manali : it will cost you approx 18k per person. 2)Via Air in rest of the months It will depend on air tickets( normally 5k per person from Delhi). Then it will cost you total 20k per person. This all is rough idea of cost. So always keep +5k extra with you. You can also do a round trip Delhi to Manali to Leh to Srinagar to Delhi : Day 1 &2 Delhi to Manali to Leh Day3 Local sightseeing - Hall of Fame, Shanti Stupa, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Thikse monastery, Leh Palace Day4 Rafting In Zanskar river- Highest point for rafting in the world Day5&6&7 Khardung La pass, Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso Day8 Leh to Srinagar Day9&10&11 Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam Day12 Srinagar to Jammu Day13 Jammu to Delhi Happy Travelling!!!!!!!
