Atleast one weeks for each to explore even the most common sight seeing places . Travelling from one place to another in north east take lot of time. you need to consider that.

Visiting Sikkim specially Nathu la you must have a permit and Same for Arunachal Pradesh a permit is needed ,which are available in government tourism offices.

Sikkim has location specific permit, you need four copies of photos in total and can obtain for free. Arunachal and Nagaland permits can be obtained online, Arunachal costs 100 bucks, Nagaland is free.
