Hi kartik , 1- Kheerganga - If you are a beginner it's a moderate trek for you , you can start from barshaini for a 14 km trek whick takes around 6-7 hours, would recommend 1 day for travelling 1 day staying there and 3rd day come back to kasol. 2- Malana - The Village is guarded by towering peaks is certainly not easy to climb and one has to complete the Malana Trek after traversing the Malana Nallah that flows right across the Parvati Valley. Malana Village doesn’t follow Indian judicial system. The primary source of income for Malanese is Hashish. Malana is known for the production of finest quality of Hashish in the World. Photography and videography are strictly prohibited in most of the places in the village area. You can’t even touch the houses there without their consent. Kasol is 21 km far from Malana Village Trek starting point, which shouldn't take more than 1 hour to cover. 3- Kalga - Pulga - Tulga - All three are accessible only by foot and visitors wishing to make a trip to these villages have no other option other than making an uphill trek of 2-3 kilometres each. If your schedule permits, then I would suggest you to mark 3 full days on your calendar for this trip. One day for each village. You should begin your trip with Pulga, move to Tulga and spend the last night in Kalga. However, if you face paucity of time it can also be done in 2 full days and an overnight stay in one of the villages. I had to be content with the latter as I had only scheduled two days my calendar for them. 4- Tosh is a sleepy village in the Parvati Valley where nature flourishes its best. Some 22 km from Kasol, the Kasol to Tosh trek can be taken up from Barshaini, the trek distance is around 8 KMS. Take a bus to Barshaini from Kasol. From Barshaini trek all the way to Pulga and further to Tosh. 5- Chalal- Connected by a narrow cable bridge from Kasol, Chalal is rather a quiet destination mostly preferred by nature lovers. Trek distance is 2.5 KMS. 6- Rasol- 3-4 hours of a hike from Kasol takes you to Rasol – another charming village in the heart of Parvati Valley. 30 minutes from Kasol lies Chalal, which also acts as the base for Rasol. Trek distance is 8 KMS, would take around 4-5 hours. 7- Local kasol- one can also visit the cafes around kasol and would recommend staying at some homestay across the Parvati river just about 1 km ahead of kasol city, one could visit manikaran. I have been to kasol multiple times, any queries do holler... happy tripping... 🚗 😀
