Listing down from the nearby places in major cities of India
If you are starting from Delhi than you lucky my friend...long list of places..some of the best ones are- mcleodganj, lansdowne, Manali, Kasol, Kheerganga, Rishikesh Pune/Mumbai: This city have my heart for the places like Matheran, Panchgani, Mahabaleshwar, Lonavala Hyderabad: Anantgiri hills, Horsley Hills, Araku Valley
Banglore: Great places- Ooty, Coorg, Nandihills, Mysure, Chikmagalur Let me know if select any of the given option. I have been to all the nearby places from Pune. would love to help. #happytrip

Ooty or Munnar or kodai in Tamil Nadu. Coorg or Mysore or gokarna in Karnataka.

Depends where you are starting from. beat the heat of may by going places which are cold or has beach. North side is kasol mcleodganj rishikesh
and mumbai people can go lonavala mahabaleshvar panchgani
goa is an option too but it will be hot there
southern coastline is very good option

If you are from West Bengal, you can go to Darjeeling. If you are from Karnataka, Ooty & Coorg are good options. If you are from Himachal Pradesh, try Shimla or Dalhousie. Sikkim & Shillong are also options to go in summer if you belong to north-east India.
