Well I have been to Meghalaya and there are some amazing places over there which needs to get a visit. So first I'll reccomend you to go to cheerapunjee and have atleast a 3-4 day trip there. The views and landscape actually makes you feel as though you are in Scotland . you can visit the seven sister waterfall over there, the caves and double root bridge also. From there you can make your way towards the India- Bangladesh border where the goosebumps are amazing , on the way to border you'll see the biggest waterfall of the state and some amazing views. Coming back from there you can visit the cleanest village in India and I think in Asia too , but food might be a problem so be ready!! But you'll find amazing forest views while traveling.

Hi Akshay, it's famous for being the wettest place on earth. This makes it a popular monsoon travel destination for those who love the rain. The state has an abundance of natural attractions, including these must-see Meghalaya tourist places. The majority of the population is made up of tribal people -- Khasis (the largest group), Garos, and Pnars -- who predominantly earn their living from cultivation. Places to Visit in Meghalaya include Nohakalikai Falls, Umiam Lake, Mawlynnong Village, Living Root Bridges, Laitlum Canyon, Dawki River, Cherrapunji, Mawsynram, Elephant Falls, Mawphlang Sacred Forest, Seven Sisters Falls, and many other beautiful places. Star attractions in the state are its waterfalls, caves, rainforests, hill stations and a lot more. Take a boat ride in the crystal clear water of Umngot River in Dawki, trek through the sacred forests of Mawphlang, walk across the world-famous living root bridges in Cherrapunji.

Start your trip by visiting Shillong which could also be your base to visit other places in Meghalaya. I would totally recommend exploring Shillong's Police Bazaar and Bada Bazaar for the authentic Khasi cuisine and street shopping. You cannot miss Bada Bazaar Sunday flea market if you are looking for the most fashionable clothes at prices you cannot even imagine. It is dirt cheap. A trek to Double Decker Living Roots Bridge in Nongriat Village is like a walk in heaven. The waterfall adjacent to the bridge and crystal clear natural swimming pool is one thing which one should visit before one dies. Lastly, a boat ride in Dawki river which is famous for its crystal clear water on India Bangladesh border is highly recommended. Yes, you can see water creates below your feet.
