South India during this time is not recommended. The climate is too hot. I live in Kerala and believe me you can't even go outside during day time. If you still want to go, then you can visit hill stations at this point of time. Munnar in Kerala or Kodaikanal in Tamil nadu will be a better option.

Yercaud in Tamil Nadu You can visit other places like Pondicherry, Kochi, etc but the heat and humidity would be quite high in those places.

Being solo, you must visit pondicherry, take a bus to madurai, then to trichy, coimbatore and end up to ooty and from here you can go to bangalore

Since the winters have just passed therefore the weather everywhere is bit pleasant. So if you are going to south for the first time then first priority should be kerela, then you can try mysore

Best place in South India for solo tourist is Mysore (in and around)
In Mysore Chamundi Hills Mysore Palace Zoo Sand museum Rail museum Jaganmohan Palace KRS dam and Brundavan garden Venugopalaswamy temple (backwaters of krs)
Mysore is the best place to plan for it has many connecting facilities like rail,and bus form Banglore.
