Hi Solotraveler, I am glad you edited your question. Tourists mostly stay in hotels on the banks of Parvati River or on the main street which is called Manikaran Rd. Some of the popular cafes are Stone Garden, Freedom, Jim Morrison and Shiva Shanti. You will find good bakery items, Israeli delicacies and decent coffee in these cafes. Last I heard, government banned and shut down rave parties. Be careful if you do end up going to one.
