August in the Andamans could be rainy and the weather could be bad.But rain has its own charm and if you are in the Havelock island it would be a pleasant stay.Radhanagar and Kalapathar beaches are exotic and truly speaking the former is one of the best beaches I have ever visited.Rain does affect underwater sports and the water would by a bit murky. But the hotels and resorts would be cheaper.I stayed in Emerald Gecko and The Dolphin resort. The later is a much better one but is costly. These two resorts are on the beach and are adjacent to one another.Food at the Dolphin is great.

Dear friend, Andaman is a year-round tourist destination. The area receives minimum fluctuations in the temperature and is always pleasant. The best time to visit Andaman Nicobar Island is considered from November to May. Monsoons are however recommended to be avoided for Andaman Nicobar tour because of the high tidal waves, incessant rains and strong winds. August face crowds travelling to Andaman Nicobar hopping from miles across. Monsoon of Andaman and Nicobar Islands receives average to heavy rainfall. By the end of the season, there could be heavy rains, leading to unpredictability of sea waves and inaccessibility of water sports activities. Temperature during this season ranges between 22 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius.
