From gobindh ghat you need to trek for 4km to phulna village and after, there is a trek of 13km till valley of flowers(ghangharia which is the base camp). The entry fee for a 3-day pass in the Valley of Flowers is Rs 150 for Indians and Rs 650 for foreign nationals. For each additional day, you need to pay Rs 50 if you are an Indian visitor and Rs 250 if you are a foreign national. You can also hire the services of a porter or mule at Govindghat which will cost around Rs 650, depending on your bargain. In Rs 1,500 you can avail the services of a guide. One way travel cost of a helicopter ride from Govindghat to Ghangaria (or the opposite direction) will cost Rs 3,200 rupees per person. The filming charges per day for Indians are Rs 1, 00,000 and Rs 2, 00,000 for foreign nationals. Documentary making in VOF will cost Rs 10,000 for Indians and Rs 30,000 for foreigners. Feature film charges per day are Rs 1, 00,000for Indians and Rs 2, 00,000 for foreigners. Documentary film per day charges for Indians is Rs 50,000 and Rs 1, 00,000 for foreigners. How to obtain permit for visiting the Valley of Flowers The Forest Department checkpoint located less than a kilometre from Ghangaria is the place where the Valley of Flowers officially begins. You need to deposit the fees here to obtain the permit for traversing inside VOF. For obtaining the permit, you need to produce your identification cards like driving license, voter ID, passport size photograph along with a medical certificate ensuring that you are physically sound for the trek. Plan your trip accordingly as camping is prohibited inside VOF and the park only remains open from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Hi Anil, 1) Reach Delhi to Haridwar. You can reach Haridwar from Delhi using Private taxi, AC Volvo bus, train or by air. To reach by air you need to reach up to Dehradoon airport first and then drive to Haridwar. 2) Haridwar to Auli / Joshimath / Govindghat. From Haridwar you need to drive to Auli / Joshimath / Govindghat. You can stay at any of these places as they are nearby. Total distance 275kms – 300 kms time taken will be 10-12 hours. 3) Auli / Joshimath / Govindghat to Ghangaria. You need to first drive to Govindghat if you are not staying there. From Govindghat drive to Pulna Village for 4 kms in separate vehicle, your vehicle is not allowed. From Pulna its a moderate trek to Ghangaria for 10 kms. You can get Helicopter or Pony or Porters from Govindghat to Ghangaria. 4) Ghangaria to Valley of flowers and back to Ghangaria. Full day trek of 10- 20 kms depending upon how deep you go. Start early to explore deepest parts of the valley of flowers. You need to be back by 5 pm as per forest department rules. The Valley of Flowers is only open from the beginning of June until the end of October as it's covered in snow the rest of the year. The best time to visit is from mid July to mid August, when the flowers are in full bloom after the first monsoon rain.
