Hi Rosy, Pondicherry is a great place to visit in December as the sun isnt too strong and the crowds are yet to trickle in. White Town is a small area that you can cover on foot. You don't necessarily need to know how to ride a bicycle. If you don't feel like walking, then simple raise your arm out and wait for an autowallah to cross. There are shared autos that also run in Pondicherry, though they aren't very accessible from White Town. Hope this helps. Hey rosy,
you can really cover a white town area on foot and if you think you can't then you can hire a scooty it cost only 300-350 rs per day. I hope it might help you.
