Depend on how many people you are and in what type of hotel you're staying.from where you're traveling? August is not good month for north Sikkim. heavy rainfall and chances of landslides.

I agree with Kasturi Mitra, It may rain and there is possibility land slides too. You need to get a permit for north Sikkim. Cost depends on type of hotel and type of cabs you want. Most common north sikkim tour package is 2nights and 3 days package that includes Permit, Cab, Fooding and Lodging. You will get this package from all Govt. registered Tour operator of Sikkim. Which is available at private basis as well as at sharing basis.

Generally, travel agents quote 25000 for 3-4 persons including lodging, food, cab and permit cost (to and fro from Gangtok)

Hi, Please find the details as below and we also followed the same. 1) Book Hottle from Goibibo in advance in Ganagatok (500-1000).2 Days as we have gone off season and lukly we got 3 Start hottel in only Rs300 with breakfast :) 2) Day 2: start early for Tsomogu lake,Natula,Baba Mandir, Zoo and local sight seen (2k for 2 person) in
case if you are more then 2 person hire local taxi it will cost you less. 3) Day 3:Start toward Lachung with private taxi( For 2 days 6k,Innova, and it will cover Local sight seen,Lachung And Yumthang) and hottle in Lanchung Rs 1200, including breakfast. 4) Day 4:start toward early morning,local village sight seen and Lachung to Yumthang and china boarder. 5) Day 5: You can stay back in Lachung or can directly move towards Gangtok .
