Birla Temple is really beautiful. For places to stay I will recommend Devraj niwas or Wallstreet for more comfort try Ibis or Lemon Tree.

Jal Mahal , Jantar Mantar , City Palace , Amber Fort , Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort are the places to see in jaipur. I stayed in Umaid Bhavan which is little outside the city , away from the crowd but a very good place. If you are on a budget then There's Zostel and Many more Backpacker Hostels.

There are many budget to high end hotels in Jaipur. If you stay ner the old city you will have easy access to Markets and some places of tourist interest nearby your place of stay. Must Visit Amer, Nahargarh and Jaigarh Forts, besides City Palace and Hawa Mahal. Try Chokhi Dhani also.
