Kerala would be my choice if u love greenery and backwaters. but ya it may be hot according to time you coming. or kashmir and himachal will be better choice if looking for cool climate.

As May brings in the heat in the northern hemisphere. It gets pleasant in the southern hemisphere. Australia or South Africa are great places to visit in May. If you want to go to an offbeat place you can visit Rwanda. I had visited Rwanda in June. Check out my blog:

Try Pune(Lavasa + Lonavala + Matheran + Alibagh or Nashik). It may rain at that time. Or try Northeast or Bhutan. You guys can also go to Sri Lanka for a gun 10 days trip [stay at the South Coast for more days]

Hey Anusha, Best places to visit in summers are hill stations: 1) Kashmir ( Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonmarg ). 5 Days budget itinerary of Kashmir : Day0: Arrive in Jammu and take a sharing jeep to Srinagar ( 10 hours- Rs 500). Or you can take a cab to Banihal ( Rs400 ) then from Banihal take a train to Srinagar ( 1.5 hours- Rs20) Day1: Local sightseeing of Srinagar - Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Betaab Valley and old Srinagar city. The distance of gardens is 15km from the main city Day2 : Srinagar-> Sonmarg-> Srinagar. Spend at least one night at Shikara houseboat in Dal lake of Srinagar Day3: Sringar-> Gulmarg ( 3hours - 56KM).Visit Tangmarg town on the way to Gulmarg.
