Thanks..
Yes wayanad is good but if you're planning a whole week than there's no point spending it at only a single station. You can try kochi, munnar, wayanad, nelliyampathy, silent valley, alapuzha, kollam and many more. See, Kerala is full of forests and hill stations. So, i need you to be a bit more specific about what kind of a trip you're planning and the duration of your vacation. You can refer my blog too for a bit of an idea. Cheers :)

Well, Kerala would be your ideal destination. if it's your first time to Kerala then I would suggest that you reach Cochin first, where you can visit places like fort Cochin and mattancherry which still has the colonial structures and the portugese influence even in this time. Also the hill palace museum is a must for people who love history. later you can visit cherai beach, and then a house boat ride in the backwaters of kumarakom or alleppey. moving southwards if you want to go to some hill stations, munnar is a good choice. You can visit the nilgiri national park which is famous for the flowers that blooms once in every 12 years and the nilgiri thar. or you can visit thekkady which is in idukki. and it's famous for the periyar wildlife sanctuary ( you need to prebook for the boat ride) and idukki arch dam. Both those places have much more tourist destinations. or you could go straight to the capital city trivandrum, which is famous for her palaces, zoo, planetarium, the kovalam beach and hill stations like ponmudy. if you have much time you can also think about visiting kanyakumari which lies about 100KM away from trivandrum. PS: try to include varkala cliff beach if possible, it's one of the famous hippie destinations in India.
