Try to go in the months of Oct to Jan or Feb as now the temp is on higher side in the south and from which state do you want to start as there are many

Lovely - the South is beautiful and so rich for travel experience that it is hard to cover most of it in one go. I would say one can start from the city of Nawabs - Hyderabad. When I did a six months travel down south all solo which included a couple of months in Andaman, I started with Chennai but I will recommend to start with Hyderabad and go down south from there. It will be difficult to give an itinerary but make sure you include the Nilgiris, mountains older than Himalayas and absolutely amazing. The holy triangle is Kodaikanal, Ooty sand Munnar and include the silent valley trip in it. When you're visiting the Nilgiris, chances are that you'll travel via coimbatore or Madurai. Check these amazing cities and include Mysore if possible esp of you're going to Bangalore. I will suggest that you make a state wise list. for example Karnataka must visit places will be Gokarna and Hampi. in fact it will be a nice idea to start from Goa, go south to Gokarna and keep traveling south taking the sea route. you'll come across some amazing landscape in the Western ghats too this way. then if course Kerala is it's own Paradise and apart from famous destinations you might want to include warkala for it's huge waves and surfing experience if you're game. Tamil Nadu is inexhaustible. The state includes the Nilgiris as well as a long cost line with I'll pondicherry etc located on it. You can always return to Chennai for a flight to the Andamans without which, I believe any southern trip is incomplete. Another option will be to start with Vizag, araku valley, tirupati and then keep going south exploring the beautiful Andhra coast line way down to Chennai.. truly, the South is beautiful and very vast. If you want to travel to the south, what better place to start than god's own country? Beaches, backwaters, mountains, architecture - ask for it and you shall find. There are places in Kerala that blogs may not tell you about. There's a lot of scope for non touristy stuff here. Come visit us during the monsoon and be sure to be thrilled and surprised.

U can start from mysore( flight till bangalore and then bus to mysore) ... coz mysore is the hub for travelling places every single place to visit in south is nearby to mysore and transport is easily available....
