Self trek is the best , organisation and companies commercialized everything, if u want to have the best experience get your back pack and get into the wild alone

Western ghats look immensely beautiful and perfect to trek. Plan the trek with an organization so that the trek permission and stay would not be hectic.

May is summer and most of the treks would be closed however best would be to go with trek clubs .. You can check in meetup.com for trek clubs
