Well summer season (May-July) are certainly for European travels if they fall within your budget. Western/central europe (switzerland, amsterdam,paris,london) would be a little expensive so if thats out of your budget you can go to Prague,Budapest,Bratislava which is equally scenic and cheaper in comparison.

May is a good time to travel to Europe... Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland & Greece are amazing Countries... U can also plan an Eastern Europe tour as its cheaper than other parts of Europe. Budapest & Prague are my favourites in Eastern Europe... In Asia, u can visit Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia or Bali.

France and Germany would be good for you because lot of people are travelled to this countries with their family though it's not cheap like eastern European countries.
