Book a auto for whole day(if not traveling in peak summer). They will take you to all famous and offbeat locations too.

Do you have any idea how much they charge..like is there any fixed rate?
There is one bus available of Rajasthan tourism for one day Jaipur local trip. I found that is the cheapest .

Reach jaipur by volvo or train..travel all around the place on E rickshaws or tuktuk..they are very cheap and charge 10rs for short distances and if you book they charge 100rs and take you to amer from main city so these are best..you can also hop on ac local buses to explore around

My experience was different and I find it hard to believe
In jaipur , bus is the best way for travelling in jaipur. from railway station u have to take a bus till ajmeri gate(cost 15rupees) and then from ajmeri gate you can take an AC bus which will drop you directly to amber fort (cost 16-20 rupees) after visiting amber fort if you want to visit jaigarh and nahargarh then there is only one option i.e. you have to take rickshaw. if you will bargain with him a lot then he will convince in 350 rupees and after visiting both these places you should tell him to drop at the nearby bus station(cost 10-15 rupees for AC bus). then from bus you have to travel till badi chopad to visit hawa mehal . after visiting hawa mehal you have to take a E-rikshaw for city palace and jantar mantar which will cost you 50-60 rupees in total. if you want to visit rajmandir to watch film you can take ola cabs or E-rikshaw and if you are a solo traveller then you can book ola bike which will be cheaper than E-rikshaw I think so this is the most convenient and cheapest way to travel in jaipur. I hope the that the information given by me will make your tour more happier and more joyfull THANK YOU

I had been there on sep 6th. Reaching there by train is obviously the cheapest sleeper class or General ticket from wherever you are. I tried local buses for travelling in the City but it was tough and occasionally had to hire Auto , even for 3-5 km they would demand Rs 200/250 if you are lucky it would come down to 100. so it would be a better option to hire a bike which could be anything in the Range of Rs 300 to 700 I am referring to scooty and normal bikes not Enfield. Ticket charges Rs 200/- for City palace Rs 50 for Jantar mantra.... as I went early morning I did not have to pay for Amerfort. Hawamahal Rs 50/- parking at hawamahal is tough. throughout all govt monuments are Rs 50/- they were earlier Rd 5/- Forts and palaces are Rs 200/- Think of street food it would be less than 100 rather 50 carry a bottle of water enjoy the Kachori and Samosa also kulfi around streets of Hawamahal. Vacation inn 4 km from amerfort costs only Rs 500/- a night. otherwise check hostel they should offer you a bed in Dorm below 400/- upto Rs 250/- WhatsApp me on 80750 93203
