I keep seeing packages for night trek so I guess it has started again. For early morning trek, you might need to start at 3-3:30 am as its a 1.5 hrs ride from Bangalore. You can check the night trek packages in Thrillophia

It will take you around 1.5 hrs by bike to reach there from Bangalore. Sometimes, due to animal sighting the trek is closed, happened with me twice.

It would take around 1.30 hrs to reach the base of the hill from Bangalore ... The best is to leave your home by 12 midnight and reach the place by 3 after an hour break in any dhabha or hotel on the way ... And then hike for the beautiful sunrise on skandagiri ... Hey Amit, Night treks are not allowed in and around bangalore. Skandagiri Sun rise trek is organized by many agencies and trekking clubs.
Basic Itinerary is: Pick up at few of the locations in bangalore by 11 and head to the base. Take permission from forest officials-costs around Rs 250.
Trek to the peak is allowed at around 3.00 AM
Reach the peak, witness sunrise, spend some time and descend to the base by around 9 AM or 10 AM and head to bangalore. Typically the cost should not be more than Rs1000(Max price) but i had seen feww agencies charging bit more and offering breakfast while return journey to bangalore. We started at 3 AM and I think it is the perfect time to catch sunrise. It takes about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on your speed and other obstacles. Happy trekking !!
