Hi I live in Panjim...Hotel Fidalgo is very popular among tourists... It's right in the heart of Panjim and has good restaurants... Hotel Mandovi is good too... If u want 5 Star then Goa Marriott Resort close to Miramar Beach.

Depends on your budget and choice of location for eg: Within 10 kms radius of Panjim, best peaceful beach stays: Bay 15; Bambolim Beach Resort; Swimsea resort on Caranzalem beach; Prainha Resort By The Sea; Cidade Goa; Grand Hyatt; Dona villa etc.

Since Panjim is the capital of Goa there are a lot of great places to stay here. Check Airbnb for some really beautiful, cheap and unique properties in the area. You can always get something within your budget on Airbnb. There are plenty of boutique hotels in the Panjim area. Cabanas by the Bay is one really pretty one which overlooks the see and has really beautiful wooden Cabanas to stay in. There are also many heritage hotels which are basically huge Portuguese houses that have been converted into hotels. One of the best one is Panjim Inn in Fontainhas. This place also has a really good restaurant where they sell great authentic Goan cuisine and delicious Feni based cocktails. There are of ofcourse quite many star hotels here as well with Taj being one of the best. Another option is hostels. many great ones especially around Fontainhas. Bombay Coffee Roasters is one we like.
