Depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for party, then around Baga is best, which is the central part of Goa. If you are looking to find a peaceful spot then extreme south like around Palolem or extreme north around Arambol is best

Depends on your choices, north goa is crowdy and happening and south goa is serene and silent.
1. If you are looking for beautiful beaches, clean water and inevitable beauty, then you should go south goa, specially Palolem, Cola and Agonda beaches. 2.Whereas if you are looking party, visit anjuna and specially shiva valley and Curlies. They have trans music and all the vibes you are looking for 3. For shopping spree, visit the market near arambol beach. It is like sarojini nagar of goa.

Every part of goa is unique and good and will not fail to surprise you. Furthermore, it depends on your choice, like say for example if you want happening vibes and pub, party scenes then north goa is your place. It also has more tourist attractions. Then move towards south of margao and things will be quite and less crowded, more natural and less commercialized. If you want something other than beaches then head to dudhsagar falls and sanaulim dam or wildlife sanctuaries.

Adding on to previous answers, I would recommend you stay in Panjim (central Goa) for an optimum experience of the entire Goa. There are both budget and luxurious accommodation options available in the capital Panjim. You can hire a self-drive car or a taxi (or take a bus if on a budget) and go party an entire day in the North - Baga and Vagator beaches are enough for a wholesome North Goa experience. Take another one- day trip to the extreme south of Goa - see Dudhsagar falls (on the border with Karnataka) and Salaulim Dam (preferably around the beginning of monsoon). These places will be less crowded because they are so far away that fewer people bother to visit. Panjim itself has good beaches (Miramar beach is never crowded), river cruises, and some great cafes. Arambol Sweet Water lake and forest in the extreme North is also a great one-day trip. You must also visit Old Goa churches and the Spice Farm at Ponda if you have the time. In short - stay in Panjim and experience all parts of Goa.
