It is safe if you take some precaution measures. don't roam alone at night. stick to the safe places. don't talk to strangers! any place is safe with the right measures!

There are four major beaches in Gokarna where people who for beach trekking - Kudle, Om, Half Moon and Paradise. However, there is also a beach called as Gokarn Beach which is mainly famous for religious ceremonies. If you have googled enough about the places to eat then the shacks on Kudle beach are good to try and of course Namaste Cafe on Om beach. A sunset point is at the cliff, when you start walking from Kudle beach parking towards Zostel Gokarna. The place is quiet and you can see the confluence of nature sitting around there. In case, you have visited the beaches in Gokarna, you can either head to Karwar which has some good beaches also or head to South Goa for explored and clean beaches.
