I have seen Himachal when there was no traffic, no tourists, no crowd and most importantly it was free from virus. Wondering when?
It was in July 2020, well now it’s open for all tourists but back then but it was not.
Let’s go through the journey together:
Day 1 – I choose Dalhousie to be my first destination as there were no restrictions for tourists. Luckily the place I choose to stay was also amazing. It took a 10-hour drive from Delhi to reach at the property, reached there by evening.

Talking about the staying property, I had booked it from Airbnb for 5 days. It was Ecstasy Farm Stay and I must say that every second I spent there was worthy. You can check out images below, they have amazing food, stunning location, supper cute pets that includes parrots, rabbits, dogs. Here I am sharing a review video on Ecstasy Farm Stay property, for you all to look and experience it yourself.

Day 2 – Dalhousie has many places to explore like Main market area to shop, St. John's Church with amazing architecture (your camera would be amazed to capture) and Tibetan market to get some local stuff.

An evening or early morning walk to Garam Sadak would give a mesmerism scenic view that will lift your heart. Garam Sadak is just next to the Dalhousie main market.

Going little far, at 12 KM’s you can visit Dainkund Peak then you can do an easy up and down trek of 5 km’s. Dainkund is a perfect view of mountain peak with a temple at the top and amazing scenic view of the uphill trek. AT the top of that you will see Pohlani Devi Temple and few shops to satisfy your hunger. Its an easy and beautiful trek which will give you a whole view of the valley, I am sure you won’t like to miss the view.

Day 3 – For you all to know, I was exploring all these places along with my working schedule. Yes, I am working from home and have a full-time job. But still following my passion.

So, I was exploring places on a slow pace as to manage official work as well. So the next day I visited Kalatop Wildlife Century, and while driving I found that its almost on the same route of Dainkund Peak. So, if you too are planning to manage your work and exploring places, you can plan to explore both the paces on one day.
To take an adventurous ride of the forest at Kalatop, you will need to get an entry ticket for 250rs only. After getting the ticket, you will have to drive for 3km’s in the forest, and here you will have mesmerising scenic view with pinch of adventure.

After a short drive, I reached to the main entry of Kalatop. But unfortunately, it was raining and due to which there was no one, just local villagers and a few hotels. If you will go further then you will find yourself in a core dark forest, there is a chance that you will meet bears (be careful).

With some bravery I took the decision of going in the forest all alone. Which obviously was not a good idea, as due to rain and fog it all turned scarier. Then, I came back, to know what exactly happened with me. Watch this video given here.
Day 4 – After spending whole rainy day, I decided to explore the mini Switzerland of India i.e. Kahjjiar.

And again, the drive was almost same till Kalatop and go further to reach khajjiar, there is ample parking space to park your vehicle in khajiiar. At least for me it was ample because there are fewer people comparing to the general normal times, so there were a few locals enjoying their day.

In khajjiar, you can do many activities like horse riding, paragliding and zorbing. This place is basically a scenic part of the mountain with amazing views and an old heritage home that just look like a dream home.

Here you can see what all I did in khajjiar watch this video.
Day 5 – I just relaxed in my hotel, enjoyed food and finished my office work, you can easily explore Dalhousie and nearby places in 2 to 3 days but if you are like me and want to travel, relax, and work then plan for at least 5 to 6 days.
Take your time, travel slowly and enjoy your stay in mountains.
I didn’t stop just here; this trip went so well for me that I planned for more and visited other places also. Want to know about that also? I will share soon in the upcoming blog.
