I was very excited about this trip because it is going to be a new experience for me as it's my first solo trip to out of India.
So I moved from helsinki at 8 am morning toward the bus stop and took bus and reached Helsinki central at 8:50, Helsinki central is the center of Helsinki, here you can find any big brand outlates, resturent, pubs and malls, from central I caught the tram to Katajanokanlaituri 8 for Viking line Terminal. Approx 9:30 I reached Viking line Terminal and collect my cruise boarding pass and wait for boarding in Cruise. Security people allowed passengers boarding before 15 minutes from cruise departure time. Now it was 10:30 and I boarded in cruise and went to top deck area because you will get the awesome views of sea and city view which is slowly slowly going invisible from your eyes. Cruise reached Tallin on correct time at 1:30 and all passengers started to de board and almost all the groups were going towards Tallinn old town so I didn't require to ask to any one where I have to go and how to go because some one in cruise told me that almost all passengers visit only old town so you can follow the crowd and easily reach the old town or you can use Google map.
Old town is very famous area of Tallin and most important it is an UNESCO heritage site. Here you will find old forts, old markets, rich European building architectures, old and grand churches and so on.
You will see most of the local shopkeepers dressed up with old traditional dresses to preserve their culture. I want to highlight one more thing that most of the people visit Tallin for shopping of liquors because liquor is very cheap in Tallinn. People buy liquor like monthly quota of grocery. Famous places to visit Toompea Castle which was made in late 9th century now it converted in Estonian parliament, Infront of parliament Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and it is very grand architecture, you can visit Raekoja plats it is a town square near Tallinn Town Hall in the center of the Tallinn Old Town. It is the place where some local festivals and concerts held as happened in early time and also you can find small restaurants, pubs and small shops. St. Nicholas' Church it was built in 13th century, now it is converted in Tallinn art museum, in world war 2 it was destroyed by Soviet bombing in Tallinn.
St. Mary's Cathedral, it is located on Toompea Hills and the oldest cathedral of Estonia, near the cathedral there is one open garden and it is on the top of the hill so you will get the awesome view of whole city from this place. If you ever come Tallinn then it is my guarantee that you will return with lot of sweet memories and experiences of this beautiful country.
Evening 5:30 I returned back to the cruise and reached Helsinki at 8:30 pm and it's the time to end this trip.
