What's a vacation without good food? And when it comes to travel, budget is a major concern. So, here is a list of tried & tasted places to make things easier:
RENDEZ-VOUS
Imbibe the vibe of this place and carry it along as a sweet memory to cherish on those throwback days. Make yourself comfortable on a table under an apple tree to write something while nibbling on the offerings here, or head inside to sit adoring the interior of the cafe and a couple dozen pictures framed and hanged onto the rustic walls. You are also offered the view of an apple orchard outside the window. Isn't it scenic enough to make you fall in love with the place. The food is delicious and the courteous hosts accentuate the experience all the more.

THE LAZY DOG
Nestled in Old Manali with river Beas flowing along it, this place is the one with a "view to die for". With it's interior and exterior both marvellously wonderful, you can find yourself getting clicked at so many different nooks and corners. The rush of water, a beautiful huge tree in the middle of the cafe, and the sight of the mountains to accompany you, this place is worth every penny spent on it, though it's a little expensive when compared to other places. The pictures say a lot, but you have to be there to witness it for real.
This english ivy all over the place makes it all the more ethereal!

PEOPLE ART CAFE AND LOUNGE
Yes, right! This is the one in the movie "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani", which is one of my favourite Bollywood movies that kickstarts the travel bug in you. Good food, creative menus, live music and an ambience that wraps warmth and chill all in one, this place tops my list of favorites.
Recommended:
Mutton Momos, Chilli Chicken, Chicken Steak, Vodka with fresh Pineapple/Orange juice
RIVER MUSIC CAFE
Breakfast at a scenic riverside restaurant? This cafe is situated beside a bridge in this tiny heaven called Old Manali. This is the place which stands true to it's name. The rush of water, fresh air and lofty mountains for a background make me never want to leave this place. This restaurant was the first, I ever visited in Manali 3 years ago.
Recommended:
Aloo Paratha & Chai, Chicken Sandwich, choose to sit outside for that exotic view
SUNSHINE CAFE
Want to feel on a vacation in an estranged land where the vibe of the place is chilled out, then this is the place to be. Two very cool and super helpful hosts, a backyard lounge for live music and delicious food soothes you to the bone and provides that vacation relaxation.
