Ladakh is only of the most perfect picture scenic places I visited.. we got the chance to visit on the month of may and we flew to leh. The oxygen level is very low at that altitude.. you may experience breathing problems and headache. But that was sorted we took oxygen and kept drinking water.
There were many highlights on our trip..the khardungla pass, Shanthi stupa, nubra valley, pangong two..etc.. But the experience I am going is share is was on our way back from Nubra through Changla pass.
I had heard and seen in news of Avalanches but never experienced one.. and we nearly escaped one. All through the mountains it is writing Avalanche Area.. It is haunting as we saw few Army trucks lying down in the valley. Our Guide told us that it was last year's Avalanche crisis.
Extreme snow fall and rain started all together.. nothing was visible all of a sudden and our car suddenly stopped though it was tavera... Specially used for snow areas... And it was suddenly like hell breaking upon us.. I have few pictures of the snow and snow fall we were enjoying before all got jammed..
But thankfully after some time our car got warm and it started after multiple tries.. slowly slowly we came down those mountains.. and prayed God to Save us.
After some days we saw news there were few Avalanches in that area following days...and thankfully no one was hurt.
