After the dropping of bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Buddhist saint Fuiji decided to spread the message of peace and harmony all around the world and this pagoda in Darjeeling is just one example of the movement. This is a Japanese Style pagoda built by the Buddhist Monk. The foundation stone was laid down in 1972 by Nichidatsu Fujii and the pagoda was completed by his biggest disciple Guruji Fuiji and opened in 1992.
