The Dooars is the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in North-East India around Bhutan. Duar means door in Bengali language, and the region forms the gateway to Bhutan from India. The Western Dooars is known as the Bengal Dooars and the Eastern Dooars as the Assam Dooars.

If you want to explore the untitled beauty of Dooars so must visit Raimatang Forest area under Buxa Tiger Reserve of West Bengal.
It’s a hill area near Alipurduar town. Fully greenery & tea garden surrounding area, Raimatang village is one of the beautiful scenic of Dooars. Hamiltonganj is the nearest railway station for the Raimatang village.
Day 1
Starts from Kolkata via Kanchankanya Express upto Hamiltonganj station by afternoon. It takes maximum half an hour’s from Hamiltonganj station to Raimatang Forest Village to stay.
Day 2
Tourists can spend one day into this beautiful nature. Also you can enjoy the silent beauty along with the floating river. You can walk through the river bed and enjoy the wild animal also.
Day 3
You can visit Jayanti & Buxa Hills and end of the day you can take a jungle safary from Buxa Tiger Reserve cheek post.
The best time for this place is march to may 10th. Because, after that the forest will be close for the monsoon. So enjoy your quality holiday with mother nature.
