Vibrant flavors, bold cocktails, and cultural richness of Latin America at Latoya in Delhi

I visited Latoya recently and realised it's more than a restaurant; it is a destination to have an immersive  experience. From fiery chilies and tropical fruits to globally inspired cocktails, every element of Latoya reflects the vibrancy and diversity of Latin America.

Whether it’s a quiet dinner, a lively celebration, or a late-night cocktail, Latoya invites guests to immerse themselves in the stories, flavors, and traditions of the region.

It's not just about the food but every element of the interiors reflect the warmth and vibrancy of Latin American culture, featuring luxurious textures, stained-glass accents, and handcrafted murals.

The restaurant’s design, led by Nivedita Agarwal, embraces the spirit of the region, making it as visually stunning as it is inviting.

As the Co-Founder & Chief Designer of Latoya, she expressed her thought, “The inspiration for Latoya’s design came from the vibrant cultures of Latin America—the bold colors, intricate patterns, and a deep sense of connection between people and their surroundings. For me, Latoya represents a journey—one that transports guests to a lively and colorful world while offering the comfort of familiarity in its inviting ambiance.”

The Vibrant Flavors and Colors

The diners are taken on a culinary voyage through the streets of Mexico, the coasts of Peru, the steakhouses of Argentina, and beyond.

The menu, designed with a focus on authenticity, features iconic dishes from across the region, such as fiery Mexican tacos, Peruvian delicacies with a Nikkei twist, and Argentinian fare, paired with unique global influences.

I particularly loved Goat Cheese and Phyllo Envelopes - the best Phyllo pastry I've ever had, crispy and filled with cheese to perfection. While Burrito Bowls are very popular here, do not miss 'Miso Glazed Panela' - Miso marinated Grilled Panela served with Peruvian Green Rice and Seasonal Vegetables. 'Charred Chicken with Three Chillies' -Chile de Arbol, Guajillo and Pasilla marinated Grilled Chicken served with Peruvian Green Rice, Huancaina Sauce, and Salsa Creole, is a hot seller. 'Brazilian Stew (Moqueca)' -Creamy Coconut Stew with Prawns, Seabass and Salmon, along with Pepper, Garlic, White Onion and Cilantro, served with Steamed Rice, is chef's pick.

The Sweet Finale
Coming to Desserts, there are several tempting options but I chose to have 'Rose & Berry Tres Leche' - Sponge Cake soaked with a Rose-infused Milk, topped with Cranberry & Strawberry Compote, Whipped Vanilla Cream, and Fresh Berries. It was divine and more pretty to look at. I didn't feel like eating it as it looked like a jewel piece with intricate design.

Outstanding Beverages

Complementing the culinary offerings is a vibrant cocktail program, curated by one of India’s leading mixologists. Using Latin American spirits like Rum and Agave, the bar menu offers bold flavors blended with tropical fruits, spices, and unique ingredients.

After Hours Rendezvous!

In a city dominated by high-energy pubs and multi-cuisine dining, Latoya introduces a concept of “Afterhours Elegance”—a late-night rendezvous that prioritizes intimate conversations, small plates, and refined cocktails, in a cosy and peaceful ambience.
