The camper-van trip was a huge success but the feeling of riding a motorcycle is another league and can't be compared to driving a van! So as expected I came back to motorcycling but this time the story goes back to my childhood for my 10th birthday my dad had bought me a book titled Motorcycle Diaries that was my introduction to the land of South America ever since me being that little kid I always wanted to ride around South America not solo or alone but with a friend.
Cut to 2017 when I was shooting an episode for Castrol for their campaign riding legends which was a micro series on YouTube which profiled 4 cross continental motorcyclists and told their story. We were shooting in tuticorin in Tamil Nadu. That's where I met this dude called Sukesh Viswanath who was the main DOP for the shoot.
It was a 4 days shoot but we bonded really well when I was in Bombay after the shoot. I met him once and told him the idea of doing South America together. He laughed it off saying it's a funny idea and it might never see the light. Our priorities, commitments in life were different at that time.
When I finished the camper-van trip across the country successfully I wanted my next ride to be South America and the first call I made without any real plan in my head is to call Sukesh and ask if he is free to come with me. Funny enough our boss man was quitting work and was ready to embark on the adventure to the land of the unknown together.
As the universe aligns everything this trip was coming together so well. We first applied for our USA visa as that sorts out visas on arrival to all the South American countries that we were covering.
I am a very free person when it comes to travelling almost 0 planning + I never pack too many events to one day over the many years of riding motorcycles. I have learnt the art of chilling and how to do little but enjoy life a lot on the go. So while we were waiting for the visa to get approved I was busy NOT planning anything but watching television shows and saying bye to friends.
Spending quality time with family is very important to me and for me personally riding the motorcycle is the job whenever I come back home after a year or 2 year trip is the vacation so I tend to relax a bit more.
Since Sukesh is joining the trip we decided to make a documentary about our ride because he is one of the best film makers in the country.

Just about time when we were finalising the journey and the day the visa was coming to my hands Castrol came on board as the main sponsor for the trip.My journey is never complete without Castrol and it worked out for the best as I didn’t have to worry about my bike's engine condition thanks to them. Also this particular engine oil has power sustain technology that helps with on demand acceleration which will improve the throttle response. I was kicked about this in particular.
