Visiting Varkala in a local perspective!!!!!

Visiting varkala is now becoming a bucketlist for both national and international tourists. As a localite am so proud of this .But only thing i heard about is the tourists only know the varkala Beach and its night life.......is that the only thing in varkala?????

So  i think its good to share my culture,history, surrounding places and budget friendly experience you can have while visiting varkala.

To start we will check out! How you can reach this GOD CREATED PARADISE...

Nearest airport is TRIVANDRUM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (46KM Through national highway,43KM through coastal highway)

Nearest railway station is VARKALA SIVAGIRI station (only under 4km)

If you guys are coming by Bus State owned transport bus will be easily available .if you guys are coming from trivandrum side you need hop on to kollam bus (or beyond kollam thats going through National Highway) or you guys coming from other side of kerala thats the northern side you guyz need to hop on to trivandrum bus ...from both side you need get down at kallambalam junction. From there you will get bus to varkala from 6.30am to 8.45pm(you may also get direct bus to varkala temple thats the closest stop to varkala beach) from there either you can walk or take an autorickshaw its not gonna be more than Rs100
From there onwards you can choose wide range of home stay, lodge or resorts
