As soon as October & November hits Mumbai its festive time, and by that I don’t mean only Diwali and Dussehra but a festival that truly is the happiest festival in whole of India i.e. the Bacardi NH7 Weekender. A music festival larger than life it gets meaner and bigger every year. For all music lovers this festival is a temple of happiness and bliss.

The three-day festival takes place in 4 cities of India but I attended the Pune version of it. Since the first time I attended it in 2011 I can’t stop myself from going back every year.  There are many reasons for one to visit this festival but here are some of my favourite excuses:

Music for all ears – In a time where catergorising music is very challenging to the taste of every music lover, NH7 takes, this complicated scene, to another level by putting all kinds of crazy genres known to mankind under one roof. It serves you a multi-music buffet and letting you decide what you want to grab.

With amazing artists strolling around in the lawns you will have many chances of being star struck. Raghu Dixit, Sahej Bakshi, Monica Dogra, bands like Parikrama, Agnee, Blot & Kohra are bigger than any Bollywood actor in this space.

Buckets of happiness – This is my favourite. While you are high on the music the buckets of Bacardi add to the atmosphere. It’s every weekenders priced possession.

Meet like-minded people who share the same passion for music as you. Chat up, have a drink or just stroll around you will definitely meet someone whom you can strike a chord with.

Be ready to be surprised by bands that you have never heard. NH7 Weekender gives opportunity to many new bands to perform and you will surely have a moment of “Aha! I didn’t know this band is so good”.

Bacardi NH7 Weekender isn’t called the happiest festival for nothing. The moment you enter the festival, you can feel the happy vibes of crazily dressed people, smiling faces and creatively designed stages. The whole arena is buzzing with energy from artists from all walks of life and people who have come together to just bask in the glory of good music. You can relax, sit back or just sleep in the lawns and take in the musical air, which transports you to another realm of life called BLISS
