Kata Beach Reviews

Later i took a local tuk tuk at 40baht to Kata beach which is an hr drive from old phuket town. Kata beach was less crowded and clean and beautiful beaches. Many people just enjoy at the sea shore , sun bath, few enjoy swimming and many shops are available around this beach. After spending some amazing time here, i headed to the street food counters here with various delicacies at affordable prices. I really enjoyed the vast spread food view of this place. Ate Pad thai with fruit juice and to add beauty it started pouring. The rain was minimal at start and it became heavy as it passed on , amazing weather experience it was.
Food-Thai Pancakes ;I still miss them ,God why i did not try all the flavors. Drinks-They have something called as bucket, whatever it is ,they make it economically good and good start. Indians are welcomed on all bar and restaurant we were flattered with the welcome we received on every shop, restaurnat and club we saw.We sang some kuch kuch hota hai song openly on roads. Back to bikini shopping i think we bought lots of those they are cheap and in all shape, size and color. Most of us bought 2 to 3.
On third day we woke up early and visited Karon view point .I found it little over-hyped so left early and instead decides to visit Kata Beach which was lovely with lots of happy faces all around. After coming back to hotel we decided to spend all day in just chilling and enjoying massages. If you are staying at Karon Beach please try Lin's massage. For 700 BHT you can enjoy 1 hour massage and 30 min scrub. In Evening we booked a table in La Gritta at Amari Phuket for delicious Italian dinner.
7) Post lunch we went walking around Phuket and reached the next beach Kata Beach. I recommend you to either stay at Karon or Kata beach on your visit as Patong is overcrowded , its like Juhu beach of Thailand. Karon and Kata are just 7-9Kms away from Patong night life but you will have peace the whole time. We spent 2-3 hrs walking around, sitting in cafes , sitting on beaches , sipping juices, beer , ice creams. Post sunset we were back at the hotel at 6PM.
Being a beach town, Phuket has over 30 beaches to choose from. Some are popular and closer to the city centres while some are more secluded but harder to access. The most popular beach is Patong Beach due to its proximity to the town and the busy night life scene. Because of these reasons, Patong tends to be overcrowded with both tourists and locals. So we chose to visit the Kata Beach. Kata is well known among surfers and has certain areas demarcated just for them.
