So this was my first visit to the beautiful City of Florence out of 6 cities trip i went for with my friends. Something about Florence just clicked, it wasn’t it’s beauty or even the handsome men, but it felt like the place where I felt most like me. Florence made me love it like no other city could (which included Rome & Barcelona as well ).
This is definitely a city of most beautiful sunsets, we stayed in Florence for a couple of days and we made sure to go every day to see sunset from Ponte Vecchio. Trust me , you will totally love it and you can have click beautiful pictures in this light.
Another thing i loved about florence was that you don't need to make detailed itineraries or book a cab , just walk in & around the city. Use google Maps and walk for as long as you can. You can easily cover the city on foot in few days. Also you will come across various interesting experiences along the way in the form of a cute little restaurant/cafe to a church to a museum. I loved the cobble streets and the vibe of the place.
If you are a foodie, you wont be able to have enough of this city...Pizzas...pastas....gelatos...we made it a point to have 2 gelatos a day and each store has numerous flavors to offer. I must have tried some 10 flavors in 4 days and i cant wait to get back to try more.
You can plan a lot of day trips from Florence as its surrounded by some really bful places. We went for 2 day trips , one to Pisa and another one to Fiesole.
Put this place in your bucket list right away and you would thank me some day :)
