Dilwara temples are the most revered ancient temples of Jains. Although the Jains built some beautiful temples at other places of India, including Rajasthan, it is believed that none come close to these in terms of architectural perfection and style. The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars and panels is simply amazing.
Known for its extraordinary intricate architecture Dilwara temple is the finest Jain Temple. It’s been also compared to Taj Mahal because of the marvellous design and structure. Dilwara Temple consists of five major temples devoted to five jain trithankaras (saints). The entry is free but the timings need to be kept in mind which is 12 pm – 3 pm also no matter how much you would want, photography is prohibited here so it will be better if you leave that outside rather than getting your camera and then fixing up a place to deposit that.
