In the Mathyra Road area, the Isa Khan’s Tomb is a walled area just beside the Humayun’s tomb complex. Isa Khan Niyazi was a noble in the court of the famous Emperor Sher Shah Suri. This is the first monument that you will come across when you enter the heritage site of the Humayun’s Com[plex. This mausoleum is built in a typical Sur style of architecture. The tomb is that of an octagonal shape and there is also a mosque present out here. it is a well maintained site and is restored under the supervision of the Archeological Survey of India.

After the main visitation one can also roam and find the tomb of Isa khan. The octagonal tomb with greenery on all sides makes a picturesque view in the middle.

Adham Khan's Tomb : Adham Khan, son of Maham Anga, a wet nurse of Akbar, was a general in Akbar's army. In 1562, he fell out with Ataga Khan, husband of Ji Ji Anga, another wet nurse , and killed him. Akbar, furious with him ordered that he be thrown from the ramparts of Agra fort (thrice). After his death, his mother too passed away out of grief, and both were buried by the tomb built by Akbar.
