Located in the Kolar district of Karnataka, Anthargange is one of the simplest yet most adventurous trekking location. The mountains have an altitude of 1712 meters from sea level. The area has numerous rocky boulders, dark caves, and narrow passages. The cave exploration forms the major part of the trek followed by the beautiful sunrise.
Early morning sunrise was planned at Nandi Hills but then we landed up going to Anthargange. A scenic and beautiful place located near Kolar at Karnataka. A hassle free drive through Bangalore-Tirupati Highway takes around 1 to 1 hrs 30 mins from Bangalore to reach Anthargange. Its around 60 km from the place I live in Bangalore. The morning was cold and the visibility was less due to dense fog, but the chilled air and the sight of the fresh green vegetables on the lands added to the experience of the journey. We reached Anthargange by 7.30 am. The road was mostly high way but the last few kms was little interior road with patches on it, so here one has to be little careful with the vehicle. It is called Anthargange Main Road.
During the return journey, while reaching Kolar, we took a little detour & decided to explore the caves at Antargange . This was an amazing exploration, The caves reminded me that nature is mightiest, it can only create this spectacular marvels . AntaraGange is a mountain situated in the Shathashrunga mountain range in the south-eastern portion of the Indian state of Karnataka. Antara Gange literally means "Ganges from deep" in Kannada .PointersThe caves are beautiful & it's a great experience for an individual .This is a moderate trek & shouldn't take more than an hour , however , please be careful before you decide to enter the caves especially if children & aged people are with you .Drink water from the Temple, it will consummate your thirst. This is en-route to the caves. Please subscribe to my travelogue and visit the postNagalapuram falls(Andhra Pradesh, Chittoor): A stunner
