Nagoa Beach - Daman And Diu

Probably the most popular area of Diu, this is a beautiful beach with trees lined on the shores. Due to its popularity it lacks a little maintenance but the sea is quieter than the rest and thus a good option for swimming. You can also enjoy a number of water sports here. The gangasagar Bar very close to the beach serves very good beer and it is ideal to cool down with a mug of beer and then lunch after you've had a long day and the sea waves have made you hungry.

Lots of resorts & hotels around Nagoa beach gave us an ample amount of choices to choose from. It's the most crowded of all the beaches in Diu. This beach offers adventure water sports to it's tourists. The crowd though is mainly concentrated around the areas where the beach restaurants are located. A little further down the beach and you find the quiet sounds of the waves, soothing.

Daman - Daman And Diu

Earlier known as Damao or Kalana Pavri (meaning lotus of marshland), this was the settlement of the Portuguese for about 5 centuries. The Portuguese had to later leave the place with the end of the colonial rule in the year 1961. This place was discovered by a Portuguese sailor named Diogo de Mello when he was shipwrecked due to a storm and at last found himself on this coast. The region has witnessed a number of wars and a huge evolution of different types of races and civilizations. This has given rise to the present day Daman which is peaceful and where a variety of cultures have united together. The town lies along the Arabian Sea and is quite laid back. The Damanganga River separates Daman into the Nani Daman in the North and the Moti Daman in the south. There are still a number of Portuguese buildings and churches here which are as beautiful as they were a few decades back.
Inspite of being small in area, this place has its own charm which you wouldn't find anywhere else; let it be the weather, the beaches, the forts or the coastal food, everything has its own charm.

Jalandhar Beach - Daman And Diu

This Jallandhar beach is very popular for the Jalandhar place of worship, roosted on a little, wonderful hillock and the sanctuary of Goddess Chandrika. So in case you wish to go for a round of prayer to God alongside appreciating the perspective from the shoreline, then this is the perfect spot for you to visit. Furthermore, look at the stone cutting inside the Jalandhar Shrine. This little place of worship delegated with an arch houses a stone cut face of Jallandhar a legendary evil presence who was murdered by Lord Krishna. It is accepted to be the substance of an evil presence by the name of Jalandhar, who was slaughtered by Krishna. In case that you think shorelines are constantly brimming with individuals, reconsider. A visit to the secluded Jalandhar shoreline will change your point of view. Here, you will have the advantage of having an untainted territory, which is not frequented by numerous visitors. In this way, appreciate the shoreline, the sand and the water, and, obviously, the skyline's perspective.
Diu to me is a toy town, and I really wish it stays this way. A place where you can travel slow and surrender to the chill. This beach was an accidental find, but a perfect one. It’s a slice of intimacy veiled in the beautiful blend of sun-burnt sand merging with its salty counterpart, the ocean. The neighbouring beach is also worth a visit, Chakratirth Beach.

Quiet, solitary, secluded. This beach is one of those ones where you just want to sit on the sand and watch the waves during sunrise or sunset. The beach though not suitable for swimming because of the jagged rocks lining the shore, is a good place to just chill out.

Owing to the long journey, the unknown had to be explored. As we traversed the Island, near the Jallandhar beach, Naida caves were located, they are the rubies of Diu. They have a ground opening and spacious interiors. By adding a missing spooky element to our trip, this visit was not a disappointment.
