Tiger's point is a very beautiful natural landscape in Lonavala which stands at a height of 650 m. It resembles the shape of a tiger. There is a small waterfall near the landscape which flows during monsoon season only. The fog gives a picturesque view of the site. Long walks here is indeed very romantic. Once here, you don't feel like leaving this place due to it's ambience. Similar to this is the Lion point in Lonavala. Though we did not go to this particular place due to lak of time, People say that tiger and lion point are almost similar.

Lonavala Lake - Lonavala

There are four lakes in the beautiful hill station of Lonavala and this is one of the lakes among these. This lake is partly dry but the surrounding sceneries make up for this lack. This is an ideal place for picnics and hangouts or romantic dates too. This is also a good place for some quality family time.
If swimming is your passion, Lonavala lake is the place for you. It is also known as the Monsoon Lake. The distincting feature of this lake is that it is filled with water during the monsoon season and dries during the winter season. You will enjoy sight-seeing here as different species of birds and animals are found here. The panipuri of this site is very delicious. You can even take hookahs here. Lonavala Bushy dam - Lonavala

The Bhushi Dam stands on the Indrayani River in Lonavala developed and maintained by the Indian Railways and private sector. This Dam is located in the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, which is the one of the best 6 lane highway in India. This dam was built in 1860s as a source of water for the steam engines of the Great Indian Peninsular Railway. The consumption of liquor is prohibited in this area due to the security reasons. This is a very famous holiday destination in Maharashtra. The place is filled with cold water, warm sunshine, and vibes of nature. The force of water here is inconsistent, so swimming is prohibited in this area, but one can enjoy stepping on the rocky land with cold water flowing below. This area has a moderate climate throughout the year. The best time to pay a visit in the Bhushi Dam is during Monsoon.
We started from Vashi early in the morning in a Toyota car. One of the most visited place of Lonavala is the Bushy dam. It's extremely beautiful. The best time to visit this place I feel is during the monsoon as the place becomes foggy then. It is indeed a fun place to hang out with friends and enjoy the fun in water. but one should be careful of the nearby waterfall as there have been deaths due to drowning. The natural surroundings are the most attractive and pleasing for the tourists visiting this place. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours here by enjoying the water in the dam and if you wish you can even go ahead and walk on the huge stones. There is a point beyond which you can't cross the dam.

Lion Point - Lonavala

Lion Point is just a scenic place midway between Bhushi Dam and Aamby Valley near by Dattawadi Path, Lonavala.
It's right next to the Tiger Point. But it's better than the latter. It's beautiful, less secured and less crowded. By less secured I mean, there's no fences around and one should be very careful. But the wind blows like anything over there and you can sit there for hours and hours without realizing the time passing by. Wear proper shoes while going down to the point as there are many glass pieces on the way, through by the uncivilized tourist and alcoholics. In short, a place meant to enjoy the nature with complete solitudness.

The twin hill-stations of Khandala and Lonavala are well known for their beauty and adventure opportunities. Khandala, which is located 7 km away from Lonavala, is the quieter hill station and a must-visit for its peace and serenity. Fondly known as the 'Jewel of the Sahydaris', Khandala is home to numerous waterfalls, hiking trails and picturesque walking paths. Do visit Reversing Station, Rajmachi Fort for the apt view points it offers, Nagphani and Tiger Point or Tiger's Leap. It is said, on close observation, one finds that the valley resembles a tiger leaping from the mountain. Khandala is the perfect spot for a quiet, laidback holiday without the usual rush of tourists. There are lovely guesthouses here which promise one a rejuvenating holiday. Surprisingly the best time to visit Khandala is during the monsoons.
