After 7 hour journey, we finally reached our destination in the morning where our bus was waiting to drop us to Camp Thar. If you ever visit Jodhpur you must relish the joy of staying in tents; it is an unforgettable experience.

Camp Thar is approximately 50 km from the city of Jodhpur; located in beautiful Osain right in the middle of dunes. The camp offers a lot of interesting stuff including cultural activities along with desert safari and camel ride. The camp was designed beautifully with the delightful blend of modern and traditional decor. The magnificent dunes and stillness of desert transfer you into a different world.

Most famous and well-built fort in Jodhpur is Mehrangarh. It is 36m high with firm base. Mehrangarh is packed with history and legend. You don’t need a ticket to enter the fort itself, only the museum section. There are many small structures built, like Loha Pol, the fort’s original entrance, with iron spikes to deter enemy elephants. There is a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious meals as well.
