This event is organised under the aegis of Rajasthan Tourism Department... It's an unique event in itself.. I was myself overwhelmed by witnessing this event personally and so closely... This event is full of vibrant colours of "Rangilo Rajasthan" and Harmonious tones of " Surilo Rajasthan"... So here is the details of all the events for the first day
(a) Heritage walk - it's a conglomeration of various attires of Rajasthan
(b) Laser & Folk Night - This is the first time in the history of Desert Festival that a unique laser show was organised and it was more glorified with the voices of international artists

Venue - Saheed Poonam Singh Stadium
This day was full of competitive spirit.. Various type of competitions were organised for Indian and foreign tourists both , some of the events are as under

(b) Mustache competion - Jiski jitni muchh tikhi vahi hai yaha ka mukhya atithi
(c) Mr & Miss Moomal - ramp walk
