Day 1

Start your day By visiting Ummaid palace museum and vintage car museum in same premises.Built on sprawling grounds of 26 acres, the royal residence is perched high above the Blue City of Rajasthan. Only 4 kilometers from the Jodhpur Airport and 5 kilometers from the Jodhpur Railway Station.Also known as chittar palace.It is One of the largest private residences in the World.

Time required in ummaid palace is around one hour and tickeet price is 30rs/person only.

After that visit Majestic Mehrangarh fort.Rudyard Kipling described the fort as “A Palace that might have been built by Titans and coloured by the morning sun”.Fort constructed in 1459.There are Two roads to reach mehrangarh fort,one is used if u go by vehicle and another is from back side of Ghantaghar(clock tower) goes from narrow lanes of old city and you can walk to Fort in 20-25 minutes.You can also take zip line tour in fort managed by Flying fox company but requires advance booking so check online.Network of six zipwires, sliding on which you can take bird’s-eye view of the fort.They will show u the spot where batman movie dark knight rises scene was shooted.

Timing-9 am to 5 pm.

Time required-2.30-3 hours or may be more depend upon your interest in history.

Ticket price-100 rs/person and 200 rs for audio guide(if needed).Camera Ticket charge extra.

Now Move to Jaswant thada which is walking distance from fort.It is mausoleum and made of white marbel.Contains paintings and pictures of the deceased rulers.

Timing-9 am to 5 pm.Ticket charge-30 Rs/person and camera charge 50 Rs.

If you have 1-2 hours left before 5 pm then Visit Rao Jodha desert rock park which is walking distance from Fort.The area surrounding the desert park encompasses many volcanic rocks and sandstone formations from about 600 million years ago.You can see various flora and fauna while roaming.Visit during monsoon season or winter season only.

From park you can see the awesome view of fort and for your information Manikarnika movie(upcoming kangna ranaout movie based on rani laxmi bai) shooted in this park few days ago.

Timing-9 am to 5 pm.Ticket charge 100 Rs/person and guide charges extra.

If you dont have enough time to Visit Rao jodha desert rock park then skip it for next day and go to Mandore Garden.

Mandore is the old capital of Jodhpur and it is considered ravan ka sasuraal(ravan wife mandodari home).Set around the old cremation ground, the gardens house the red sandstone Chhatris (cenotaphs) of many rulers of the erstwhile princely state of Marwar.

There are many langurs are in this garden so dont take any eatable in hand.

Entry is FREE.

Time required- 1 to 2 hours

If you are budget traveller then you can take city bus from station or Nai sadak to Mandore garden.

Now i am telling about the place which is less known by tourists and the place is called Panchkunda ki chatri or panchkunda centonaphs.Its 2 km from mandore garden and one has to hire auto to go there.

Day 2

Now had to machia biological park.This park is mostly built on hilly terrain near kaylana lake.This is still under development and in future one can see many more animals and also machia fort will be open soon which was used by British govt for the imprisonment of freedom fighters.

Battery operated car is available at 30 rs /person but i would recommend that take a walk to enjoy.

duration of visit- 1 hour to 1.5 hour

Timings: 8.30 AM to 5 PM on all days except Tuesday

Entry Fee: Rs. 30 for Indians, Rs. 300 for Foreigner, Rs. 80 for Camera and Rs. 200 for Video.

After visiting biological park time to go to Kaylana lake which is only 1 km from machia park.do boating there and if u have time you can trek to siddhnath mahadev temple which is 2-3 km from lake and time to complete trekking or parikrama of temple is around 2 hours so avoid trekking if u have less time and just enjoy the boating.

Boating charge for sharing motor boat is 100 Rs/person.

Best time to visit-Only monsoon and winter.Avoid during summer.

Now Time to Go Bhim bhadak cave temple which is lesser known by tourist but famous in locals.Distance from kaylana lake is hardly 1 km.It is inside the military radar area(Must carry your id card and dont shoot pictures outside temple) but one can visit this temple and nearby hill area from 7 AM to 7 PM.Temple has a huge black colored SHIVLINGA inside. There is a very small and narrow tunnel inside the cave and called vaisho mata tunnel and you can darshan of maa inside cave after reaching there by crawling.

It is said that PANDAVAS, when were in danger, took shelter at this cave. BHIM belongs to the name of one of the Pandavas and BHADAK in Rajasthani language means Cave. Since then, this whole place is known as "BHIM BHADAK".Make a walk to the cave top and enjoy the surrounding views but dont take pictures outside temple.

During return from Temple visit Veer durgadas park/Masuriya garden situated on masuria hill and give panoramaic view of city.Also its less known by tourist but sunset view is awesome.

Now time to visit Famous Ghantaghar(clock tower) and its market.If you want to enter Ghanta ghar and watch the clock then reach before 5 pm.The clock inside is one of its kind in world.

Time to go Toorji ka jhalra stepwell which is walking distance from Ghantaghar market back darwaza.Dont waste money on auto just ask any local or use google map to go there.It was built in Jodhpur the 1740s by a Queen, Maharaja Abhay Singh’s Consort, continuing an age old tradition that Royal women would build public water works.

Its very deep so watch your steps when you climb down or take photograph.

There are so many roof top cafe around step well and you can visit during night to see the night view of Fort but as a local person i would like to mention that their food is not so good and adapted according to foreigners.

During your leisure time in evening you can take a walk inside old city and old city markets.Just ask locals and they will help you.If you want to see blue houses where many movies and advertisements shooted then visit old jodhpur area like brahmpuri,navchokiya etc.

Day 3

If u have time and want the feeling of jaisalmer sand dunes then visit Osiya(mini jaisalmer) which is 65 km from Jodhpur and well connected by buses.You can easily get bus from jodhpur to osiya every 30-40 min from rai ka bagh bus stand(govt bus stand) and also from Osiya to Jodhpur.Fare is 65-70 Rs one way.

Must visit Shri Sachchiyay Mataji temple also called osiya mata temple and also visit sand dunes.Jeep safari charge during off season is 400-500 rs/jeep and during season 700-1000 rs/jeep depends upon your bargain skill so bargain hard because they will ask for 1500-2000 Rs.One jeep can easily accommodate 4-6 persons.

camel safari charge is 100-200 rs for 15-30 minutes

Must eat dal pakoda near bus stand if you visit during winter.

Day 4

If your stay in Jodhpur is extended then you can spend a day taking Guda bishnoi village safari and experience the rural life and experience From a family home & chapti & Chai cooked on an outdoor fire fuelled by dried cow dung to craftsmen such as rug makers, potters & block printers - all whose families have been producing these handmade items for 100's of years & continue to make them in traditional ways.Also you can see migratory birds like domicile Cranes etc, and blackbucks and chinkaras.

Famous Food of Jodhpur-

Mirchibada,Shahi Samsosa,Mava kachori,Mogar and pyaaz kachori,Mava roti,Prem pyala,Mishri maava,ras madhuri,Makhaniya lassi of mishrilal shop.

Try gulabjamun ki sabji,chakki ki sabji,kaaju ki sabji at shandar sweets near mahatma gandhi hospital(jalori gate area),

Try omelette at uncle omelette shop just outside tha back gate of ghantaghar(clock tower),also try maava ki kachori,

gulabjamun at chaturbhuj shop(inside old city),mohanji k ladoo(inside old city near ghantaghar),

mirchibada at janta sweet home near railway station,pyaaj ki kachori,makhaniya lassi at mishrilalji shop in ghantghar area,

prem pyala and malai roti at vijay restraunt(inside old city near achalnathji mandir).
