Rajgad fort is a hill fort in Nasrapur village of Maharashtra which is approximately 70kms from Pune city. Rajgad fort was a capital of Maratha empire for around 26yrs after which it shifted to Raigad fort. There are several trek routes to climb the fort, the one we took was via Pali darwaja which starts from pabe village. We started our trek around 11:00 am. The route was initially muddy because of the monsoon season after which the stairs started. It took us 3 hours to climb the fort. The level of this trek is medium as it is quite steep. After reaching the first point we took rest for around 30 minutes and visited Padmavati temple and then started our ascend towards the bhale fort which is the top most part of the fort. We started our descend around 3 pm and reached base point after 2 hours. The route was filled with some beautiful flowers all over the place.
