Vagamon Tourism and Travel Guide

Vagamon is an untouched land in the heavenly state of Kerala, located far away from the madding crowd. The sleepy hill station will win your heart with its deep valleys, widely-stretching green meadows, dense pine forests, tea estates and waterfalls. In fact, the National Geographic Traveler has listed Vagamon as the '50 most attractive places to visit in India’. The drive to this hill station is extraordinary, to say the least. The winding road cut through solid rock lined with pine forests, takes you through lush green hills, with the plains below running along with you. The landscape here is mostly hilly with its green meadows filled with a wide variety of flowers and orchids. Vagamon offers opportunities for various adventure activities such as trekking, paragliding, mountaineering and rock climbing. An interesting place to visit here is the Indo-Swiss Project Dairy Farms, located on Kurisumala Hill. The farm is run by monks and you need special permission to go inside. Kottayam is the closest railway station from here and Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport.
